Ethiopia: Climate & Weather
The climate can generally be described as temperate, especially in the large central plateau region.
However, heat waves can affect the Red Sea and the surrounding area to the east and also in the west in the area bordering Sudan. The rainy season is between June and September but mild rains begin around March and April. The average temperatures are around 20 °C, all year round, you can therefore visit Ethiopia in any season, but best avoid June and July when rainfall can be heavy. |
