Peru: Climate & Weather

There are two main seasons that alternate: A wet season from October to April and a dry season from May to September.

These seasons vary according to the area: The humidity is higher in the tropical areas, particularly from January to April. The coast is more pleasant from December to March, as it is milder and less foggy. In the Andes, it is drier during May which is therefore the time to go hiking.

The best time to visit the Amazon forest is between April and November to avoid the high humidity.
