What to do in Zagreb : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Capital of Croatia, Zagreb is in the north, and has approximately 700,000 inhabitants. It is built on the banks of the Sava river and dominated by my Medvednica mountains. Besides its important place in the country as a commercial and economic center, it offers tourists a beautiful cultural heritage, with its museums, theaters and festive events. Its climate is continental, with cold winters and rather hot summers. Zagreb can be accessed by an international airport, located less than 20 kilometers from the city center. The tram is a very convenient way to get around town, even if the center can easily be explored on foot. You will first visit the upper city by strolling through its narrow streets, and after take the funicular that leads to it, and then make a foray in naive art museum, admire the works of Renoir at Mimara museum, explore the exciting Archaeological Museum, go see the beautiful cathedral, walking through the botanical garden, you marvel at the cozy square Tomislava, but also enjoy the many outdoor shows taking place in the spring, such as festivals of music and theater. The attractions in Zagreb possible to discover places full of charm, why not enjoy an aperitif at the wine bar, or sample the local fare at a restaurant downtown, unless you prefer to do a tour of the market at Place des Flowers or antiquing flea Britanski instead.
