What to do in Yaoundé : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Capital of Cameroon, it is denominated as "the city of seven hills", and you meet all of the country's population. It can be reached by plane via two airports, the Yaoundé-Nsimalen, and the international airport of Douala. In town, you can travel by bus or shared taxi. City of contrasts, Yaoundé oscillates between authenticity of its traditions and modernity on, visible through its beautiful avenues and skyscrapers. Populated by almost two and a half million inhabitants, it is built on a set of hills overhung by two peaks over 1,200 meters. Enjoy finally parks and gardens dotted around this green city, such as the district Febe, or wood St. Anastasia in the heart of the city, a place very quiet where grow violet and hibiscus, roses and geraniums, and is a place popular with city dwellers when the weekend arrives.
