City of France on the banks of the Loire, Tours has about 135,000 inhabitants, and is accessed via the A10 from Paris via Orleans, or from Bordeaux. It also has a bus station and a railway station and an airport (Tours Loire Valley) that links the city to London, Dublin, Marseille, Porto, Marrakech, Ajaccio and Figari. For travel in the city, you can take the bus or tram, and Tours is also crossed by the Eurovéloroute Rivers, which crosses Europe from the Black Sea to the Atlantic Ocean but allows the more modest traveler discover the castles of the Loire by bike.
