What to do in Tel Aviv : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Located in Israel, on the Mediterranean coast, the city of Tel Aviv has just over 400 000 inhabitants, with an urban area of 4 million. Tel Aviv is the heart of the country : a financial center, cradle of technological research, home to several universities, the headquarters of many banks and embassies, it is also a cultural and tourist center and receives over two million visitors each year. Its climate is Mediterranean, with often intense heat in summer and wet and mild winters. Built at the edge of a beach, it has a reputation of permanent life, fashion, music and trendy places occupy. Everyone will find something in the city : concerts, ballets, lazing on the beaches, museums, night clubs, water sports, there is something for everyone. The international airport is located fifteen kilometers from the city, and to get around town, shared taxis make your life easier, although Tel Aviv can easily be explored by walk, unless you prefer the bicycle sharing system.
