Italian town in south-eastern Sicily, Syracuse is located on the coast and has just under 125 000. Founded in the 8th century BC, it has a historic center classified heritage of humanity by UNESCO. To access Syracuse airport is located about fifty kilometers from the city, Catania-Fontanarossa, but can also be reached by ferry from the mainland, the car is the easiest way to browse Sicily.
