City located in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Saint-Etienne has about 172,000 inhabitants and was long known for its manufacturing of weapons and cycles: it is now in full urban transformation. Access to the city by highway from Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand or Toulouse, and airport offers flights to Portugal, Israel, Istanbul and Oran, while trains to Paris and Lyon. For travel to the city, the tram, depending from its origins in 1881, as well as buses offer many lines, and a bike service free service complements well the possibilities.
