French southern city, located north-east of Toulouse, in the Aveyron, Rodez has 24 000 inhabitants and is accessible by the National RN88 which connects Toulouse to Lyon, but also by train from Paris, Toulouse or Brive- la-Gaillarde. Rodez also has an airport, with connections to Paris, Brussels and Dublin. Buses provide rides in the city, you can also easily walkable. Several sites worth visiting in Rodez: the medieval town and the historical center which cluster around the cathedral itself Gothic style and built between the 13th and 16th century, with its highest bell tower 87 meters; the Soulages museum in the garden of Foirail, hosting 500 works bequeathed by the famous native son; Fenaille the Museum of History and Archaeology with its unique collection of menhirs in France; the ancient monastery which hosts a national stud farm today for the whole family; Museum of Fine Art Denys Puech exposing contemporary artists. To discover the heart of the city, there is a signposted walking tour that takes you along the streets lined with houses of pink sandstone, through the squares and in front of the residences of the 16th century as the home of Armagnac, one of the Annunciation or the hotel Jouéry become Fenaille Museum.
