What to do in Narbonne-Plage : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
French city of Aude in Occitan region, Narbonne-Plage is the seaside resort attached to the town of Narbonne, which is about fifteen kilometers. Narbonne-Plage has about 1200 inhabitants and is located in the Natural Park of Narbonnaise in the Mediterranean, Cathar country, and it offers five kilometers of sandy beach, all in an unspoiled area and still wild. There is also a marina of 600 rings, and many sports and leisure facilities for young and old. You can discover the landscape by following the 2.5-kilometer pedestrian walkway that runs along the beach, but also explore different environments going west, ponds, lagoons and rice paddies populated by birds, and to the east of big spaces populated by white horses and black bulls. To see also, the chasm of the Sweet eye, lake overhung by a steep cliff, a magnificent site. Heritage side, it is easy to go to Narbonne-Ville to visit museums and monuments, such as the Archbishops 'Palace, the Merchants' Bridge, the Basilica of St. Paul Serge, the Cathedral, the Lapidary Museum, the Old Palace and its archeology collections, or the surrounding vineyards, and the superb Fontfroide Abbey, founded in 1093 in the heart of the Corbières.
