Considered the capital of southern China, built near Delta Yanzi Jiang, Nanjing (Nanjing) has more than 8 million people and has played a major role in the country's history. The city offers travelers an impressive historical heritage, such as its magnificent ramparts, but also a nice modern atmosphere, with its wide tree-lined avenues, museums and cafes, its lakes and parks, forming a mixture surprising modernity and tradition. Nanjing is accessed by landing at the international airport of the city, but also by train because Nanjing is located on the Beijing-Shanghai line. One can also get there by bus from several Chinese cities and ferries connect the city to Shanghai, Wuhan and Chongqing. For travel to the city, the metro is very effective, but there are also buses and taxis.
