Town in Brittany in the Morbihan department, Lorient is built at the bottom of the harbor, and has about 58,000 residents. Sometimes called the city of 5 ports Lorient is just the figurehead of the Morbihan: partially destroyed during World War II, it now offers a smiling face to the traveler, with its mix of modern architecture and ancient carved pediments.
