What to do in Cannes : Tips, places, hotels and restaurants
Located in France in the Alpes-Maritimes, Cannes is a seaside resort known for its world famous Film Festival and its Croisette avenue along the sea and lined with palaces. The city has about 73,000 inhabitants, and you will find many sites to visit: you will start probably by along the Croisette and the beach, and do not miss a stop in front of the famous Festival Hall, with its famous staircase, statues and photos of artists and their handprints. Then stroll in the Suquet, old quarter of Cannes set on a hill, the Mont Chevalier, with its old houses ocher, cobbled streets and squares overlooking the harbor; go shopping in the Rue d'Antibes, discover the flower market in the Alleys of Liberty behind the old port and the Champfleuri Park. In the district of California, admire luxurious villas as the residence of the Château de Thorenc, Villa Fiorentina, Chateau Louis XIII.
