resort city of Turkey, on the south coast, Alanya has a little over 98 000 inhabitants and has a rich cultural heritage, which contributes to its tourist attraction, in addition to its pleasant Mediterranean climate. The city is surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and its harbor is lined with palm trees. Several sites await the traveler who discovers Alanya Cleopatra Beach with its fine sand and crystal clear water; the castle overlooking the sea at 200 meters, built in the 13th century, with its 80 towers; the historic center with its bazaar and cafes; the numerous caves in the area, including that of Damlatas with its huge stalactites (over 15 meters); the Delphinatium Sealanya where you can swim with dolphins: the Red Tower on the port, octagonal and dating from 1226, which now houses the ethnographic museum; the great Friday market where to find handicrafts from all over the country; you can also practice many activities such as canoeing, rafting, diving, fishing, hiking, climbing. We arrive in Alanya by air via Antalya, a hundred kilometers, or via Gazipasa, 30 kilometers. To get around the city, there are minibuses, but can also easily rent a car.
