KrakówPolish city of just under 800 000 (but a million and a half for the whole agglomeration), Krakow is one of the oldest cities of the country. It is now the second city in Poland and plays a very important role from a cultural point of view: the historic center has also been listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. A feature of the city is the number of parks and gardens, which represent an impressive surface and give a green aspect to the whole city. Another feature is the abundance of religious buildings, both churches, synagogues, Protestant or Buddhist temples or monasteries. To access Krakow, there is an international airport at about ten kilometers from the center, but the city is also connected by rail to major cities in Poland and Europe. For traveling in the city, buses and trams offer a dense and extensive network. The historic center, he can cover on foot but also by carriage and cyclo-taxi. Many sites worth a visit: the Royal Castle, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Stanislaus and Wenceslas, the medieval old town and picturesque main square, the interactive museum that shows the life of the city into the Middle Ages but also cultural places like the Old Theatre, Opera, and many museums, some of which are home to major works such as Leonardo da Vinci or Rembrandt.
